Appointments

To request an appointment:

  • Use our appointment request form, Monday to Friday, from 7:30am. We aim to acknowledge all requests on the same day during opening hours. However, during particularly busy periods, if a clinician determines there is no urgent same-day medical need, your request may be acknowledged the following day.
  • Call us on 01443 773595, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6:30pm and one of our call handlers will discuss your query and complete the appropriate request form on your behalf.
  • Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday, when we are open
  • In your NHS account (through the NHS Wales App)

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you. If it appears that we have not responded to your request in the timeframe you would expect, please let us know so that this can be flagged to the appointment team.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • by text or email.

Appointments by phone, by text or email can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.

To cancel your appointment:

If you are housebound or you meet the following criteria and need an appointment, we will do a home visit.

  • Permanently housebound and cannot leave the house for any appointments (such as visits to the GP, optician, hairdresser, dentist or hospital) without specialist ambulance support (a code of ‘Housebound’ should be in the clinical record)
  • Temporarily housebound due to recent illness, injury or operation and cannot be reasonably expected to travel to the surgery in private and public transport without significant pain or distress
  • Is acutely unwell and the severity of the illness means that getting to the surgery may make the condition worse
  • Receiving palliative care or is reliant on medical equipment that means they cannot get to the surgery

If you need a home visit and meet the circumstances described above, please call the surgery or complete an online form on the patient portal in the usual way, before 12 noon.
